Before the Merge, most of our ancestors were kids at the time. We can barely even talk to them about what our Realm before the merge was like, making the history of the merge lost to time. We have no right to talk to the gods about our past and how we got here. Even the arch-angels won’t talk to us anymore. It’s like all of them forgot about what happened on the day of the merge. It makes us the people who are witness to the merge question who or why it happened in the first place. The only person who knows this is the last ancestor alive and living to this day. The only way we knew about the merge was these ancient ruins all over the world. They look almost like portals or where the rift opened to bring us here. It’s also where the rifts warped reality and twisted the world around it to this day. Each and every ancestor that was taken through the rifts by force there dna was changed making them and their children have these abilities its rare for a child to not be born with these gifts and yet there are 100 cases where they don’t show or have their powers at all until their older. It’s slightly less rare for no powers but they have slightly mutated bodies that continue to spread until they lose control. We still can’t tell why this happens and how to cure the disease but it’s at this point something that we have to deal with. The disease basically when fully consumed they get teleported to limbo a dimension of the broken.
