How do I join one of these servers?
Scroll through the list of servers with PvP above and once you find one that looks interesting, click the Copy IP button. Then open Minecraft, go to Multiplayer, click Add Server and paste the server IP into the address box, then save and join. If you have issues joining, make sure to read the server's description in case it is Java only, Bedrock only, or only joinable through a certain version of Minecraft.
What is a Minecraft PvP server and how does combat work on them?
PvP servers are multiplayer Minecraft worlds where player versus player damage is enabled, so you can fight other players instead of just mobs. Servers with PvP turned on can be simple survival worlds or focus on factions, lifesteal, kitPvP, practice duels, arena fights and other combat heavy modes. On most servers you will gear up, enchant weapons and armor, then battle in open world zones or dedicated arenas where combat is allowed. Some servers have PvP almost everywhere outside of spawn, while others use safe zones, warps or protected worlds where fighting is disabled. See which game modes it offers, for example survival with PvP on, factions, lifesteal, kitPvP, practice or duels, and if the server is casual or competitive. You should also pay attention to the region and ping, how many players are usually online, and if kits are given out or earned through ranking up. Try a few IPs from the list and join the Minecraft server you'll have the most fun on!
