How do I join an Earth server from this list?
Scroll through the list of Earth servers above and pick one that looks fun, for example you may want one that has an active nations system, a strong economy, or a map scale that you like. Once you’ve found one, click the Copy IP button next to the server’s banner. Afterwards open Minecraft, click the Multiplayer button, click Add Server, and paste the IP into the address box. If you’re having trouble joining, double check that you are on a version the server supports, as most servers with Earth maps support both Java and Bedrock so you can play on either mobile or desktop. After logging in, you’ll usually spawn in a hub where you can read the rules and then teleport into the world and head toward wherever you want on the Earth map.
What is an Earth Minecraft server and how are they like the real world?
When you join an Earth server in Minecraft, you are playing on a custom world that recreates the real Earth as a scaled down map instead of random terrain. Continents, oceans, and biomes roughly match real world geography, so deserts, mountains, and forests appear where you’d expect them to be. Most of these servers combine this map with features like land claiming and an in-game economy, so players can form towns and nations, and sometimes go to war over new territory. You still mine, build and survive like on normal servers, but the focus is on claiming pieces of the real world and working with (or against) other players around the map.
How do I find the best server with Earth for me?
When you’re choosing a server from our list, start by checking how the map and gameplay are set up. Some Earth SMPs focus on peaceful building and trading with strict rules on griefing and PvP, while others are more geopolitical with nations, wars and raiding features. It also helps to check before joining what map scale they use, how active the playerbase is, and where the server is hosted so your ping is good to the region you want to play in. Join a few different servers, explore their map, rules and community, and stick with the one where the world and playerbase feel the most fun for you.
