All dimensions start as a 128x128 world size and slowly increase by 128 over 1 week time. This means that you have to take care of the world and environment that you have. For example if someone gets rid of all the spruces trees it could be hours days or even weeks before a new one comes back. Open the launcher, next click the "Play" button then select "Multiplayer" from the menu.
